Time has flown by...we can't believe it's been a whole year already. She was just born. We've had an amazing year with her and thank our Heavenly Father everyday for allowing us to have this sweet angel in our family. The boys just adore her, and get excited every time she does something new. Most recent is blowing kisses - we giggle for hours when she starts blowing kisses.
The day was warm and beautiful. The boys helped me wrap presents and bake a fun butterfly cake. Dwight unfortunately had classes AND a final that day so he didn't get home until 7:30 at night.
Kalaya loved tearing open her presents, she'd pull out each thing and immediately hand it to Mommy. She got a bunch of clothes, some toys and stuffed animals, and in keeping with our first birthday tradition...she got a new big girl car seat. Now she loves riding in the car - sitting big and tall like her brothers.
She was quite confused when I put her cake in front of her. Typical of our dainty little girl, she would only stick one finger in the frosting and lick it off. She did finally eat, but only once Mom fed it to her. For not really getting into her cake she sure did get messy.

WOW, Look at that cake! Did you decorate it? Very impressive. Looks like it was a very fun day. It is so fun to see how she has grown. I love the outfit she is wearing by the tree. I am always in awe of those fantastic legs!

dooooooode!!! candy! your kids are so cute! i can't beleive that kalaya is already one! i swear she was just born! lol hey i love the four pictues of eating cake.. you have alot of light switches in your house lol!! and kalaya looks adorable in the pics by the tree.. tell your childern that auntie katie says hi. and tell dwight hi and i love him. and then tell your self hi and i love you and miss you and if it wasn't for the fact you have a family i would come kidnap you!! lol i love you lots and keep up the good work on the blog it looks muy fantastico! lol i don't know if thats really spanish, ya shows how much i pay attention in class. lol ANYWAYS sorry for writing you a small novel as a comment it was unintentional! lol i love you babe!
